Pharmaceutical Recalls

Hemophilia of Georgia tracks all pharmaceutical recalls for medications and supplies carried in the HoG and Beacon pharmacies. When a manufacturer recalls a pharmaceutical product or supply stocked in the HoG or Beacon pharmacies, the Hemophilia of Georgia staff promptly contacts patients who received that product or supply. In addition, various social media sites may be utilized to reach patients as quickly as possible (e.g., Facebook, X/Twitter).

Recall also includes the following terms: recall, voluntary recall, withdrawal, hold, field correction or any additional terms used by the Food and Drug Administration or pharmaceutical company to describe the removal of a product from the market.

Additional information on product recalls is available on the FDA website.
