New Health Care Options
The federal government launched a new website, www.healthcare.gov, that allows you to see all of your options for paying for health care, including enrolling in the new Pre-Existing Insurance Plans. These plans are for people who have been without insurance for at least six months and have been turned down for coverage due to a pre-existing condition (such as hemophilia). If you are currently on Hemophilia of Georgia's Program for Uninsured Clients, your HoG social worker can help you get signed up for the new coverage. Call the Hemophilia of Georgia office to speak to your social worker.
