Dr. David Hall North American Primary Care

Dr. Hall is a family medicine physician and has been with North Atlanta Primary Care since April, 1997. He completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry at Berea College (Kentucky) and graduate studies at Eastern Kentucky University (Richmond, Kentucky) with an emphasis in physical chemistry. He went to medical school at the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY).  Dr. Hall completed his internship and residency at the University of Alabama - Birmingham in Family Medicine serving as Chief Resident in 1989-1990. He has maintained board certification in family medicine since 1990. He is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice as well as the Georgia Academy of Family Practice.

He initially entered medical practice in emergency medicine and worked in Hopkinsville, Kentucky from 1990 through 1994. He joined Emory Health Care in June 1994 as an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and worked there through April, 1997.  He was a volunteer physician during the 1996 Olympics and was assigned to the Olympic VIP and Family members and the weightlifting and wrestling events.

Dr. Hall’s grandson was born in May 2006 with hemophilia A.  A maternal great grandfather had the disorder, so they were aware immediately after the birth of his diagnosis. Hematologic diseases have always been an area of interest for Dr. Hall, and this further inspired his desire for knowledge regarding hemophilia A. He eventually became involved with Hemophilia of Georgia  through the Trot to Clot Run and remains an enthusiast for this great event and Camp Wannaklot.  His desire to serve on the board of directors for HoG is congruent with his desire for all those with hemophilia to have access to the best available health care and quality of life.  Dr. Hall wants to be “an advocate for public education and legislative matters regarding the treatment of hemophilia.”

Dr. Hall is a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atlanta and serves on the member care advisory panel.  He enjoys being “Grandpa” to his two grandsons. He is a former triathlete and still enjoys being active in various sports, especially mixed martial arts. Other hobbies include landscape design/gardening and cooking.
