Horizons in Hemophilia, Winter 2008

Dear HoG:

I am always searching the web for the most up-to-date information about my child's bleeding disorder. The problem is that I don't know where to look for resources that are correct and trustworthy. Does HoG have any suggestions or resources available?

Dear Always Learning:

In this day and age, the World Wide Web can be overwhelming when it comes to finding information that is accurate and reliable. The HoG office has a library packed with the most up-to-date pamphlets, books, articles and journals. We regularly add new information that is readily available to HoG clients and their families. We also have books and videos that can be checked out by clients.

Several of our pamphlets come from HANDI - the National Hemophilia Foundation's information resource center. On their website, www.hemophilia.org, you can find a resource catalog that provides a wide range of educational materials. The HoG library carries a large percentage of the materials offered by HANDI, so if you find something of interest please contact Shannon at the HoG office. In the meantime, stop by and check out the HoG library!
