My Experience at GTI

My experience at Georgia Teen Institute (GTI) was like no other. I met so many caring and generous leaders. My favorite moments at GTI were with my family group and with my team. I was truly blessed to be paired with such amazing people that week. With the help of my fellow team and our leaders, Mr. Robert, Ms. Deniece, and Mrs. Gelene, I am now a more confident and competent leader today in everyday life.

At the end of the week, the feeling was bittersweet. We were all tired and ready to go home but we were heartbroken to part ways with the family we had become while at GTI. My experience at GTI helped me to be more culturally conscious with other youths, and helped me learn about diversity in different groups. I loved meeting new people, interacting with other groups and teams and meeting all of the wonderful staff at GTI.

I definitely look forward to becoming a staff member for GTI 2015.
