Volunteer Spotlight-Beth

BethHemophilia of Georgia salutes Beth McCracken, an 8-year Camp Wannaklot volunteer.  When asked why she volunteers and what she likes most about HoG, Beth complimented all the people at HoG and said that they are a great group of people to work with.  Beth enjoys working with the campers at Camp Wannaklot each summer and takes an active role in the cooking and nutrition classes that are offered during the week.

One of Beth’s most memorable experiences at Camp Wannaklot was once when she was working with all teen boys in a cooking class and she was really nervous about teaching the kitchen skills.  She said that surprisingly the teen boys really wanted to learn how to cook and kept her laughing the entire time they were in the kitchen.

Beth has a Bachelor of Science degree from Kennesaw State University with an American Humanics certificate.  She currently resides in Dunwoody, GA and enjoys baking, spending time with her niece, Katy, and her new dog Roland.  She currently teaches preschool at All Saints in Dunwoody and will be pursuing her Master of Arts degree in teaching from Mercer University beginning this fall.  Beth is also an active volunteer with Catholic Charities where she helps refugees acclimate to living in the United States.

Hemophilia of Georgia is very pleased to have Beth as one of our dedicated and committed volunteers.  Beth is always smiling and having a great time whenever she volunteers at HoG.   Thanks Beth for all you do!
