World Hemophilia Day 2021—Adapting to Change!

April 17, 2021, is World Hemophilia Day and a chance for you to join others around the world to raise awareness about hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. It is the perfect time for the global bleeding disorder community to come together in support of treatment for all.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on people with bleeding disorders and has caused us all to learn to be more flexible and adaptable. This year’s theme for WHD is “Adapting to change: sustaining care in a new world.”

Get involved and share your story of how you have adapted to change in the face of challenges and helped sustain care in a new world! Tell your story, share your challenges, and celebrate your successes! Everyone can play a part—from patients, family members, and caregivers, to corporate partners, Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) staff, and those who support their national member organization.

There are several ways you can help spread awareness:

  • Share your picture or make a video and post it on social media. Use #WHD2021 and tag us so we can share your post.
  • Like and share other bleeding disorder posts and stories.
  • Donate to and fundraise for events supporting the bleeding disorder community.

World Hemophilia Day is a great opportunity to stand with other advocates and show your support for the inherited bleeding disorders community. Let’s show the world what we are made of on April 17!
