Fifteen families joined together virtually to enjoy our “Cooking & Conversation” event with Chef Mike Hargett on December 6th. Chef Mike is a classically trained chef and a heart and kidney transplant recipient, who also has severe hemophilia A. He shared his story and his culinary talents, while providing instructions on how to cook one of his delicious specialties:  Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Chicken with Roasted Green Beans and Creamy, Dreamy, Mashed Potatoes.

Chef Mike answered questions and offered helpful tips about everything from safe knife handling to how to properly slice a red onion. He also promised to share his recipe for Beef Wellington and for Paella for those of us who wanted to stretch our culinary skills. Everyone enjoyed learning from Chef Mike, and by what we could all see virtually, everyone ended up with a delicious meal at the end.
