Last year, Hemophilia of Georgia’s Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders of Emory, hired Social Worker Ana Coronado, LCSW to provide adult counseling services for patients with bleeding disorders. Ana is a licensed clinical social worker with over nine years of experience providing a wide range of populations with counseling and supportive services. Ana has worked in schools, detention centers, counseling centers, and hospitals. She has provided individual, family, and group therapy to people of all ages ranging from elementary school age to elderly adults. Ana specializes in addressing anxiety, depression, chronic pain, grief and loss, and PTSD by using skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Ana strongly believes in the benefits of finding a therapist that can establish a positive and nurturing relationship and walk alongside you as you embark on your journey to becoming your best self.

Ana brings great value to the team of dedicated professionals at Hemophilia of Georgia’s Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders of Emory. The center identified in-house counseling as a need for patients with bleeding disorders rather than referring them out. This consideration was consistent with looking at the whole patient, meeting the patient where he/she is at, reducing the patient’s need to travel to separate appointments, and ensuring comprehensive care services.

If you are in need of adult counseling services and are a patient at their HTC, feel free to make an appointment by calling 404-778-7062 or emailing ana.gabriela.coronado@emory.edu.
