Fall Family Day Brings Families Together for Learning, Connection, and Fall Fun
More than 35 families from across Georgia’s bleeding disorder community gathered at Callaway Gardens for Hemophilia of Georgia's 2026 Fall Family Day, a family education event designed to bring together learning, community, wellness, and fun. Families participated in educational sessions focused on bleeding disorder research, updates from clinical trials, self-care, and stress management, while children enjoyed supervised fall-themed activities and interactive learning opportunities.
Beyond the educational program, the day offered something equally important: the opportunity for families to connect with others who share similar experiences. Throughout the day, attendees built new friendships, strengthened existing relationships, enjoyed lawn games and activities, and spent time exploring the beautiful surroundings of Callaway Gardens. An optional community gathering featured snacks, s'mores, yard games, and opportunities for meaningful conversation and connection.
Events like Fall Family Day are made possible through the dedication and teamwork of HoG staff, volunteers, healthcare partners, and supporters who work together to create memorable, patient-centered experiences for the families we serve. These gatherings provide more than education. They help strengthen our community, foster peer support, reduce isolation, and empower individuals and families affected by a bleeding disorder with knowledge and confidence.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Fall Family Day a success and to the families who joined us for this special day of learning, connection, and fall fun.
The next HoG Family Camp will take place this spring. Watch your mail for an invitation and be sure to register early. Family Camp is one of our most popular programs, and space fills quickly!
