Last January winter weather closed the Hemophilia of Georgia office and most other businesses in the Atlanta area for nearly a week. Our pharmacy staff was unable to get to the office and could not fill prescriptions for several days.  Luckily, most of our pharmacy customers were well prepared.

As we approach the winter months this year, remember to keep three doses of factor on hand so you don’t run out if there are weather-related delays in getting your prescriptions filled or shipped.  Even if the weather is warm in Georgia, ice and snow in our surrounding states may cause delays since we depend on Memphis-based Federal Express to deliver most of our shipments.
