With the theme Mission: Possible, Camp Wannaklot 2012 was a great success.  Here are a few quick facts about camp:

  • 143 campers age 7 to 17 participated in Camp Wannaklot.

  • Camp Wannaklot was staffed by 97 volunteer counselors, 8 Hemophilia Treatment Center staff members, 6 physicians, and the HoG staff.

  • The Leaders in Training, a select group of 16 and 17 year olds who participate in special leadership development program, created an Infusion Musical to encourage other young people to manage their bleeding disorders.

  • C.J. the Workout Kid provided fitness sessions to encourage campers to move and be healthy.

  • 9 campers stuck themselves for the first time and 27 campers earned butterfly awards for achieving their goals toward learning self-infusion.

  • 74 individual and corporate donors contributed over $31,000 to the HoG Camp Appeal to offset camp costs.  Another $43,000 was raised through the 2012 Trot to Clot Walk and Run
