Horizons in Hemophilia, August 2015

By Kim Williams, Director of Camp & Client Events

Campers and volunteers enjoyed a fun-filled week at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge. Camp Wannaklot celebrated its 22nd season of serving kids who have hemophilia or another inherited bleeding disorder.

The theme of Camp Wannaklot 2015 was “Once Upon A Time.” The theme celebrated the story of every camper at Camp Wannaklot. Campers are the main character of their own story. It is up to the camper to choose his or her own adventure, decide on goals for the week, determine what limits to push, and develop friendships with adult leaders and other campers along the way.

Camp Wannaklot is made possible by the volunteer camp counselors, medical staff and HoG staff who commit to making a difference in the lives of our campers. As a Partner of Camp Twin Lakes, we are able to offer financial support to any camper who needs it to attend camp. We would also like to thank the many donors who give financial support to Camp Wannaklot, and our sponsors: Aflac, Baxalta, CSL Behring, The Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation, Grifols, Novo Nordisk, and Pfizer.
