Horizons in Hemophilia, October 2015

By Daniel Cribb, Public Relations Chair, HoG Junior Board of Directors

Ashley’s relationship with Hemophilia of Georgia began in 2012 when she overheard a friend talking about Camp Wannaklot and became interested in volunteering. Since 2012, Ashley has volunteered as a camp counselor, at family camp, and at teen retreats and many other HoG events.

Ashley is 26 years young and lives in St. Marys, Georgia. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She is currently in graduate school pursuing a master’s degree in secondary education specializing in math. Ashley is passionate about working with youth. She works as a paraprofessional at a middle school in addition to working as a part-time specialist at Kohl’s.

Ashley is one of the inaugural members of the Hemophilia of Georgia Junior Board of Directors where she currently serves as the Chair of the Junior Board. She previously served as the Fundraising Chair. Ashley loves to use her role to help HoG in any way possible. One of those ways is through the “Kohl’s Cares” program. If Ashley recruits five Kohl’s employees to volunteer at a HoG event, then Kohl’s donates $500 to HoG.

Ashley and the Junior Board would like to thank everyone who supported the Junior Board’s iSupport t-shirt campaign. All proceeds from the campaign benefit Camp Wannaklot. Please look for future spotlight articles where we will highlight another awesome Junior Board Member.
