Jenny Truesdale, CPhTThis month’s featured employee is Jenny Truesdale, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).  She began working for HoG in 2004 as a receptionist.  She soon was promoted to the business department and learned to take factor orders.  She liked the client interaction and began taking online pharmacy tech classes, and then CPhT examination review classes after work.  She became a certified pharmacy tech in 2016.

Jenny was born in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, and moved to Powder Springs, Georgia when she was 12 years of age.   She graduated from McEachern High School in 1993.  She and her husband Sean live in Woodstock and recently celebrated their 20th anniversary.  Jenny enjoys scrapbooking, reading, singing, puzzles, and games on her tablet.  She’s a big Clemson Tigers and Miami Dolphins fan.

For the past five years, she has volunteered at a Cherokee County back-to-school event called, “Give a Kid a Chance.”   The organization provides backpacks, clothing, medical supplies, and haircuts to children to get them ready for the school year.  She is also involved with the Special Olympics with her husband.  Jenny’s favorite thing about HoG is seeing the Camp Wannaklot campers, after a week of camp, with huge smiles on their faces.  Jenny shared, “It feels good to work for an organization that gives back.”
