Scholarships

The John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to Hemophilia of Georgia clients who are motivated and talented but lack the resources to achieve their educational goals.  Awards are granted based on scholastic achievement, financial need, and personal goals.

Students who would like to be considered for the John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship must meet the requirements listed below and return a completed application by May 1, 2008:

Qualified candidates should call Patricia Williams at (770) 518-8272 to request a Scholarship Application.  Completed applications must be received at the HoG office by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2008.

John W. Youtsey, former professor and Associate Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Georgia State University, provided dedicated leadership to Hemophilia of Georgia from its inception in 1973 until his death in 1996.  He was a member of the Board of Directors of Hemophilia of Georgia and chaired the Scholarship Committee.  Over the years, the John Youtsey Memorial Scholarship Program has awarded more than 250 scholarships totaling over $775,000.
