Hit'em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament Kick-off featuring Mason

2018 Hit’ Em for Hemophilia Charity Golf Tournament

On October 23, more than 200 golfers from across the country teed up to raise money for research for a cure. The 36th Annual Hit’em for Hemophilia golf tournament was held on both courses at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta. There was no need for anyone to bundle up this year; the beautiful weather made for a perfect day of golf!

In addition to 18 holes of golf, golfers also enjoyed a putting contest with Bobby Cox and Phil Niekro on the Lakeside course, while Topgolf delighted golfers with a fun game on the Creekside course. There wasn’t a dry eye among golfers and guests after hearing seven-year-old Mason and his mother, Brooke, share their story on how living with hemophilia has affected their lives and what a cure would mean for them.

The Food on the Fairway sponsors showcased their specialties. Tito’s, Capital Grille, Zoe’s Kitchen, Ceviche, 21 Tequila, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Ruth’s Chris, and Sugarland Distilling Company provided drinks and samples to the golfers and volunteers at the tournament.

Another highlight of the event was the silent and live auctions. Golfers, reception guests, and volunteers bid on sports memorabilia, electronics, travel experiences, and jewelry throughout the day using their smartphones. Two of the most coveted items of the afternoon were an autographed game-used Ozzie Albies bat and an autographed Ronald Acuña jersey.

Thank you to the Atlanta Braves for their partnership and support. Thank you to our presenting sponsor, CSL Behring, and all of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who helped make this event such a success.
