3000 IU BeneFIX Coming Soon!

Pfizer has announced that a 3000 IU size of BeneFIX was approved by the FDA in November. It is expected to be available in the HoG and Beacon pharmacies in the next few weeks. This convenient size can also be stored at room temperature or under refrigeration for up to two years. It has the same 5ml prefilled diluent syringe as the other dosage ranges of BeneFIX: 250IU, 500IU, 1000IU and 2000IU. This larger size may reduce the number of vials needed per infusion for clients with bigger doses, thus reducing infusion time and storage space.
