Dr. Robert Sidonio joins the Emory/CHOA Bleeding Disorder Team
By Trish Dominic, CEO
Ruth Brown and I had an opportunity to meet Dr. Robert Sidonio for lunch this past summer on a trip he made to Atlanta to be interviewed for the pediatric program at the Comprehensive Bleeding Disorder Center at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. When I think back upon our lunch together, I think of meeting a man passionate about his work, committed to continuing his research regarding women with bleeding disorders and excited about an opportunity to live and work in Atlanta.
Dr. Robert Sidonio is the newest member of the Emory/CHOA comprehensive care team. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and did his residency at the University of Louisville/Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital where he also attended graduate school for his Masters of Science in Clinical Research.
Dr. Sidonio and his wife moved here from Vanderbilt with their two young boys this past August. You will be seeing him at the pediatric clinic at Emory and will be glad to hear that he is working to create a clinic for women with bleeding disorders in conjunction with the Emory OB/GYN department.
I know you will all join me in welcoming Dr. Sidonio to Atlanta and thanking him for joining the team at Emory/CHOA to help improve care and treatment in Georgia.
