Emory/Children’s Hemophilia Clinic Moves to One Location

Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta would like to inform patients of an upcoming change to their Comprehensive Hemophilia Program. The Children’s at Scottish Rite hemophilia clinic will be permanently moving to Children’s at Egleston the week of September 5, 2011. This means all patients will now be treated at one location.
Benefits of moving to one location:
- Scheduling and Appointments: Pediatric patients will have the choice of scheduling their annual, comprehensive care appointments two days a week (Thursday and Friday mornings). Adult patients will continue to be seen for Comprehensive visits on Thursday morning only.
- Transition: Patients will now be seen in the same location from childhood to adulthood, making the transition much easier for families.
- Staff: Children’s hemophilia doctors, nurses and other support staff will all be at one location, giving families better continuity of care.
- Research: Bringing our research staff together in one location can increase opportunities for patients to participate in new treatments and clinical research, if appropriate.
During the transition, there will be no interruption in patient care. We will continue to deliver the same high quality care to our families. The following doctors will staff the hemophilia clinic at Children’s at Egleston:
