I Vote, I Value

Want to let your elected officials know the aspects of your community that are important to your quality of life? At the next Hemophilia of Georgia activity you attend, you’ll have an opportunity to do so by completing an “I Vote, I Value” postcard.
At the top of the postcard, you’ll read:
Georgia needs a balanced approach to solve its fiscal crisis – one that includes enough resources to pay the bills and to invest in the future. Be a part of the conversation. Please take a moment and write down three to five things that allow you to have a good quality of life in Georgia.
Then there is space on the card to write the things you value. One of our Augusta members wrote:
- Health Insurance
- Better Jobs
- Better Community Programs
- Better School Systems
At the bottom you sign your name and include your address (so we can get it to the legislator for your voting district).
The “I Vote, I Value” postcards are a project of 2020 Georgia. 2020 Georgia is a coalition of more than 80 community leaders and organizations from across the state, including AARP, the Georgia PTA, and Hemophilia of Georgia. The coalition advocates for policymakers to take a balanced approach when it comes to solving the state’s fiscal crisis. With years of budget cuts that have affected so many Georgians, 2020 partners believe that Georgia leaders need to find additional revenues to help support the things that Georgians value, like public education, transportation, public health, parks, and their quality of life.
