Meet the Outreach Staff
This month’s employee in the spotlight is Lashon Wells, LMSW. She earned a Masters of Social Work from Savannah State University. Lashon has been with HoG since 2016.
Lashon grew up in Georgia. She became interested in social work at a young age. Her mother’s friend was a social worker and she told stories about the people she worked with. She enjoyed learning about people. Lashon loves helping others.
Lashon has been married for 12 years with two dogs (“dog-son” named Kumo and “dogther” named Piper). She is passionate about elder care and adoption, and enjoys volunteering at the local food bank. Lashon loves being a social worker. Her favorite quote is, “If you give a man a fish, you will feed him for a day. But if you teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime.” She enjoys working with people and helping them become independent.
