Spin for Kids

By Elizabeth, Molly, and Ashley: Hemophilia of Georgia Junior Board of Directors

Published December 1, 2018

Camp Wannaklot had another successful year at Camp Twin Lakes 12th annual Spin for Kids fundraising bike ride. Spin for Kids helps fund life-changing camp experiences for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, or other life challenges.

On October 21, Hemophilia of Georgia’s Junior Board of Directors, along with other members of the Camp Wannaklot team, raised $3,616.  The event spokesperson and our own camper, Parker, rocked his role as camp champion. He shared camp memories and inspired our cyclists. He also kicked-off one of the races.
Hemophilia of Georgia’s Junior Board of Director’s Fundraising Chair, Sheldon Gregory, rode in the 27-mile ride for the second year in a row. We greatly appreciate the support of the Welsch family and their friends, who rode in the five-mile ride.

Members of Hemophilia of Georgia’s Junior Board of Directors attended the event and raised awareness about Camp Wannaklot and the bleeding disorder community in Georgia. We were able to educate fellow supporters and future volunteers about Camp Wannaklot and provide education about bleeding disorders.
Thank you to our donors for their financial contribution, our team members for riding in the race, and Camp Twin Lakes for hosting this event. We would also like to thank our supporters for helping us go above and beyond our goal. Opportunities like this are another reason why camp is possible.
