Golfers Invited to Participate in the Hit 'Em for Hemophila Tournament to Raise Funds to Cure Bleeding Disorders

Published September 17, 2013

Golfers are invited to participate in the 31st annualHit ’Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Manor Golf and Country Club and Alpharetta Athletic Club in Alpharetta, Georgia.  Sponsored by Hemophilia of Georgia in partnership with the Atlanta Braves, the tournament supports critical research directed toward finding a cure for hemophilia, a hereditary blood clotting disorder that requires very expensive, life-long medical treatment.

Since 1982 the annual Hit ’Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament has raised more than $12 million for research for a cure for inherited bleeding disorders. With clinical trials of gene therapy, we are closer than we have ever been to a cure for hemophilia.  This research phase is the most expensive, so your support now is vital.

Individuals and foursomes can download a registration form online at www.hog.org/golf.  The registration fee includes greens fees and cart, breakfast, lunch, goodie bag, and the opportunity to win exceptional prizes for first and second place teams. The reception following the tournament includes dinner, awards, raffle and live and silent auctions.  The individual registration fee is $425 per person.  Foursomes can save $200 by registering together at the team rate of $1500.  Corporations of all sizes are also invited to participate in the golf tournament and sponsorship packages can be tailored to meet the needs of any organization. Levels of sponsorship will determine the number of golfer slots, course assignments, extent of media coverage, company signage and community marketing exposure. Details are available online at www.hog.org/golf or by contacting Kirstin Downie, Director of Development, (770) 518-8272 or kmdownie@hog.org.
