Join Us in Raising Awareness and Making a Global Impact

By Laura French, Director of Community Engagement

Hemophilia of Georgia is excited to announce two important opportunities to raise awareness and support the bleeding disorder community: Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month (BDAM) in March and World Hemophilia Day on April 17. Both campaigns focus on advocacy, education, and fundraising to support our global impact program to help people with bleeding disorders in underserved communities worldwide.

March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, a time to honor our community and promote early diagnosis and advocacy.  We know it takes more than medicine to improve lives - it takes education, leadership, and community.

World Hemophilia Day, led by the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), is observed on April 17. This year’s theme, “Diagnosis: First Steps to Care,” emphasizes the critical importance of diagnosis —the essential first step in treatment and care. WFH estimates that over three-quarters of people with hemophilia worldwide remain undiagnosed. Together, we can change that.

How you can help:

  • Donate to our Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month or World Hemophilia Day campaign to support global aid efforts.
  • Share your story on social media using hashtags like #BleedingDisordersAwareness, #BDAM, and #Hemophilia. Tag us so we can amplify your voice!
  • Engage with HoG’s posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).

By raising awareness and bringing bleeding disorders to the attention of policymakers, we can increase access to care and treatment. These global efforts are only possible because of generous donations from supporters like you.

Let’s come together this March and April to make a difference. Donate, share, and spread the word!
