Leigh Carpenter to Retire after 25 Years of Dedicated Service
Goodbyes are never easy, especially when a dedicated professional has served an organization and the entire bleeding disorder community for 25 years. Therefore, it is with both joy and heavy heart that we announce the retirement of Leigh Carpenter, Hemophilia of Georgia’s Vice President of Pharmacy Operations at the end of March 2024. As a dedicated member of the Management Team, Leigh’s expertise, leadership, institutional knowledge, and commitment to Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) and the bleeding disorder community are tremendous and will be greatly missed.
Hemophilia of Georgia is grateful for Leigh’s many years of service, during which she has led the pharmacy in providing exceptional comprehensive care to our patients. Leigh is an extraordinary professional and a beautiful human being. She has been an invaluable asset to HoG who is always willing to step up when needed. She was instrumental in our pharmacies receiving dual accreditation and for their growth to include specialized and tailored services through the addition of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Pharmacists. Leigh is kind, compassionate, supportive, and always willing to mentor and advise.
One of her colleagues and the current interim Vice President of Pharmacy Operations, Resham Sahijram shared, “Leigh is a passionate, dedicated, employee of HoG. She has been my mentor over the past seven years, and I have gained a wealth of knowledge from her. She will be greatly missed.”
Leigh reflects fondly over her time at Hemophilia of Georgia.
