Personalized Education at Home: One of the Many Services HoG Nurses Provide
Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) understands the important role education has in empowering individuals and their families to live fuller lives and make informed choices about their health. For people living with hemophilia or other bleeding disorders, education to help manage their condition is a critical component of comprehensive care and support.
HoG’s Outreach Nurses provide personalized care and training at home to help meet each patient’s needs. Through hands-on instruction and compassionate support, they help children and adults develop essential skills—building confidence, fostering independence, and making a meaningful difference in everyday life.

Hemophilia of Georgia is committed to supporting, strengthening, and empowering individuals with bleeding disorders and their families as they face daily challenges with courage, perseverance, and resilience. We believe that through education and awareness, we can better support individuals living with a bleeding disorder and improve their quality of life. In addition to our outreach nurses, HoG Social Workers provide in-home support and education for patients and families. HoG also offers a wide range of educational resources, including community events, an informative website, a monthly e-newsletter, and a comprehensive online educational resource, The Hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease & Platelet Disorders Handbook.
Our hope is that one day, no one will have to live in a world affected by bleeding disorders.
