More than 200 people participated in the Trot to Clot Walk and Run at Stone Mountain Park on Saturday, April 20th.  It was a chilly morning but everyone was happy to be there to raise money for Camp Wannaklot. The day began with the Tot Trot for kids 2 and under.  Next, HoG nurse Karen Clark led everyone in warm up exercises and then the runners took off.   The walkers were next and by then the weather was beginning to warm up.

When everyone got back from running or walking, prizes were awarded. The first place runners were Joey Hantz and Katelyn Spencer.  The two top individual fundraisers were Dr. David Hall and our own Trish Dominic. Together, Dr. Hall and Trish raised more than $5000.  Dr. Hall’s team, Team Lucas, also won the team t-shirt contest.

We thank everyone who participated or volunteered.  Special thanks go to our corporate sponsors: CSL Behring, Pfizer, Baxter, Novo Nordisk, Lazer Spot, Big Peach Running Company, North Atlanta Primary Care, Green Oaks Dental, and Resurgens Spine Center.

Then, on May 4th, more than 40 people participated in the first-ever Trot to Clot Walk and Run in Augusta.  It was a cold, wet day but everyone had a great time in spite of the weather.  First place runners were Pamela Burgess and Brad Bandera.  The top individual fundraiser was Deborah Andrews and the t-shirt contest winner was Miller’s Minions.

Many thanks to our corporate sponsors of the Augusta Trot to Clot: CSL Behring, Pfizer, Baxter, and Novo Nordisk.  Our Augusta-area volunteers did an amazing job getting the word out and making the first Trot to Clot a great success.  View additional photos from Stone Mountain and Augusta.

The next Trot to Clot Walk and Run will be September 28th in Columbus. We hope to see you there!
