You Totally Rocked the Virtual Trot to Clot, Dudes

By Sarah Weikert, Director of Development

Published June 11, 2020

Virtual, schmirtual. You totally crushed the virtual Trot to Clot on May 9. We may have been on separate streets, but our community was definitely in sync. You showed up – decked out in your finest Dash through the Decades-themed attire – and helped us raise $46,000. That’s $16,000 more than the $30,000 goal we set for our virtual event. Dude, that is so totally tubular.

The $46,000 will help support Camp Wannaklot. Because we had lower overhead costs, we realized a higher net yield for this event than we’ve had in the past.

It’s all thanks to you. Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Trot to Clot. Whether you donated or raised funds, put on rockin’ costumes, shared our Facebook posts, forwarded emails, or sent texts, we are grateful for everything you did to make this event the bomb.com.

This year’s fundraising winners are:

1st place: Lucas Hall ($5,367)
2nd place: Emily Welsch ($1,128)
3rd place: Ashley Swan of the HoG Junior Board of Directors ($866)

Top team: Team Lucas ($10,010)
Most individual donors: Joseph Beal of
the HoG Junior Board of Directors (19)

Year after year, it’s the big actions of our small community that make this event successful and make Camp Wannaklot possible. Our 2020 Dash Through the Decades was no different!

As always, we want to say a special thank you to our corporate sponsors, our team captains, our fundraisers, and our donors. You made this event a most excellent success.

We absolutely loved seeing all your retro race day photos! If you missed any, you can see them all on our Facebook page here
