My Reflections of 30 Years with HoG

on September 18, 2014

By Trish Dominic, CEO

Yesterday at my Vistage meeting (small business CEO group) I learned that great leaders are great because they have great followers. As I reflect over these past thirty years at HoG, I wholeheartedly agree with the statement. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest followers in the world. Together we worked through tragic diseases like HIV and HCV. We worked as a team with patients and providers to create comprehensive care centers in Georgia. We became a regional core center, accessed special pricing for our pharmacy to reduce patient costs, created some of the finest educational materials in the world and developed an outreach program of nurses and social workers to meet the day-to-day needs of our patients. We have the largest single state camp for bleeding disorders in the US and support research and researchers across the US. Today, we get to do what all great teams do – celebrate our wins – 30 years and more to come!

Editor’s Note:  Congratulations to Trish who shared her reflections with us as the staff celebrated her 30th anniversary.
