Bleeding Disorder Fact Sheets: Now Available in English and Spanish

By Coleen Lou, Director of Communications

Published August 2, 2022

Providing educational materials is one of the ways we help our clients and the community understand their bleeding disorder. Hemophilia of Georgia has developed 12 fact sheets, now available in both English and Spanish, that help provide information about the inherited bleeding disorders we serve.

School systems and daycare centers use the fact sheets to educate teachers and staff on typical signs and symptoms to watch, as well as how to respond to a bleed. The fact sheet can be kept on file by the school or daycare center for future reference. The sheet includes a space for an emergency contact.

If you prefer, our outreach nurses can present this information to staff in person, or you can download them for yourself using the links below. If you would like a nurse to present the information, please contact Erica Hunter at 770-518-8272.

Disorders covered in the fact sheets include:

English:

Hemophilia
von Willebrand Disease
Bernard Soulier Syndrome
