Voluntary Recall Extended for Kogenate FS
Bayer has extended its voluntary recall for the following lots of Kogenate FS:
- Kogenate FS 2000 IU Vial Adapter Lot #270PWG8 Expiry Date: 05/08/2017
- Kogenate FS 3000 IU Bio-Set Lot #270NPV2 Expiry Date: 08/17/2016
The recall is due to a decline in potency and is not a product safety issue.
Additional lots may eventually fall below the pre-specified acceptable range before shelf life expiration and are subject to recall. Click here for a complete listing from NHF of all potentially affected lots.
If you received any of these lot numbers from the HoG Pharmacy, you will receive a phone call from a nurse or pharmacy staff member. If you order your clotting factor from another pharmacy, please contact that pharmacy for assistance.
